1986 Winner: Almond Thumbprint Cookies

Ingredients

250 gr sifted all-purpose flour
100 gr sugar
1 gr salt
230 gr butter
90 gr unblanched almonds
12 gr vanilla
85 gr butter
150 gr packed brown sugar
400 gr confectioners sugar
1 pistachio nuts for
230 gr butter with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse crumbs
1 balls
75 gr butter

Instructions

sprinkle frosting with nuts. Winner Penney L. Haney of Kenosha described these cookies: "Oh, the aroma!
