Apple And Honey Scones

Ingredients

250 gr all purpose flour
85 gr wheat germ
9 gr baking powder
4 gr cinnamon
1 gr baking soda
1 gr salt
1 gr nutmeg
75 gr butter
1 tart apples
120 ml milk
60 ml honey
5 gr wheat germ
8 gr sugar

Instructions

Recipe by: Country Woman March/April 1997 In a large bowl, combine flour,wheat germ, baking powder, cinnamon, baking soda, salt and nutmeg. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. combine the apple, milk and honey; add to dry ingredients just until moistened. Turn onto a floured surfac, knead gently 5-6 times. Gently patt dough into a 9-in. circle, half in. thick. Combine topping ingredients; sprinkle over dough. Cut into eight wedges and place on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 200ÂșC or 15-18 minutes. ----
