Apple Baklava

Ingredients

some melted butter
6 golden delicious apples
6 granny smith apples
18 gr butter
75 gr sugar
2 gr cinnamon
300 gr walnuts
100 gr sugar
1 gr lemon peel
24 sheets phyllo dough
65 gr butter
14 gr dry bread crumbs
30 ml honey
9 rectangles
9 metal baking
5 more phyllo sheets on top
400 gr nut mixture on top
12 more phyllo sheets
6 remaining phyllo sheets

Instructions

through pastry and filling into 4 cm-wide strips, then cut diagonally at 5 cm intervals to make diamonds. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until golden. Drizzle honey on top and bake 5 minutes more. Cool in pan on wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature with whipped or ice cream. Makes dozen servings.
