Brown Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

325 gr brown sugar
130 gr shortening
2 eggs
30 ml milk
6 gr orange rind
9 gr baking powder
3 gr cinnamon
1 gr salt
250 gr unbleached flour
170 gr raisins
65 gr nuts

Instructions

Cream sugar and shortening until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, milk and orange rind. Stir together baking powder, spices, salt and flour. Mix into sugar mixture. Stir in raisins and nuts, if used. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350�F about 10 to dozen minutes, or until done. Remove from baking sheets and cool cookies on rack. Store in airtight tins. Makes about 4 to 5 dozen cookies.
