250 gr flour
220 gr brown sugar
120 gr walnuts
32 gr candied orange peel
1 gr nutmeg
1 gr cinnamon
1 gr anise seed
120 ml water

Instructions

* Nut cakes of Italy. Cook the sugar and water together until the syrup spins a thread. Remove from heat and add the nuts, spices and orange peel. Add the flour and knead into a smooth dough. Roll thin, cut into small squares or round shapes and bake at 350 until light brown, 8-12 minutes. ----
