Cheese And Onion Casserole

Ingredients

120 gr onions
50 gr shortening
230 gr cheddar cheese
1 gr salt
1 gr pepper
2 ml dry mustard
7 slices day old bread
28 gr butter
475 ml milk

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350�. Saute onions in fat till golden. Add cheese, salt, pepper, mustard; cook, stirring until cheese is melted. Remove from heat. Spread bread slices with butter. In 1.5 qt casserole, alternate layers of bread and cheese. Pour on milk. Bake uncovered, 1 hr. Makes 4 servings.
