Cocoa Ripple Ring

Ingredients

95 gr shortening
150 gr sugar
2 eggs
190 gr flour
2 gr salt
160 ml milk
9 gr baking powder
3/8 nestle quick
40 gr walnuts
65 gr powdered sugar

Instructions

Cream together shortening, sugar and the eggs until light and fluffy. Stir together the flour, salt and baking powder. Add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture alternately with the milk, beating well after each addition. Spoon one third of the batter into a well greased 6.5 cup ring pan or 9x9 inch pan. Mix Nestle Quick and walnuts together and then sprinkle half over the batter in the pan. Add the second one third batter and then the rest of the Quick and walnuts. Top with remaining batter. Bake at 180ÂșC for 35 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes and then turn out of the pan onto a plate. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar and serve warm. ----
