Cornmeal Pie Crust

Ingredients

130 gr all purpose flour
16 gr cornmeal
3/8 firm bacon drippings orgt
65 gr shortening
45 ml water
1 more

Instructions

Combine flour and cornmeal, then cut in bacon drippings. When mixture is granular, add the water, in small quantities to insure a flaky crust, until pastry is mixed. Roll out on a floured surface to a circle 1.5 times larger than an inverted 23 cm pie pan. Fit pastry into pan and form a fluted edge all around. CRUST FOR TAMALE PIE III--see #79. ----
