Date Loaf

Ingredients

600 gr sugar
350 ml milk
1/2 stick margarine
550 gr pecans
280 gr dates
7 gr vanilla

Instructions

Heat sugar, milk and margarine to a slow boil to soft-ball stage, then remove f rom heat. Add pecans, dates and vanilla; to make a stiff dough. Form into 2 log s, about 5 cm in diameter, each. Wrap in a cotton or linen towel and refrig erate until chilled.
