Fig Bread

Ingredients

75 gr figs
85 gr raisins
24 gr shortening
240 ml honey
1 egg
325 gr flour
1 gr salt
5 gr baking powder
2 gr baking soda
180 ml sweet milk
60 ml sour milk
140 gr nuts

Instructions

Cut raisins and figs in small pieces. Cream shortening and honey well, add beaten egg. Sift dry ingredients together. Reserve a little to flour fruits and nuts. Add alternately with milk, add nuts and fruit. Bake in moderate oven 160ÂșC . 1 hour and 10 minutes.
