French Breakfast Muffins

Ingredients

65 gr shortening
250 gr sugar
1 egg
190 gr flour
7 gr baking powder
1 gr salt
1 gr nutmeg
120 ml milk
1 gr cinnamon
110 gr butter
1 stick
1 melted

Instructions

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 15 medium muffin cups (2- 0.75 in. diameter). Mix thoroughly shortening, half cup sugar, egg. Stir in flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg alternately with the milk. Fill the muffin cups two third full. Bake 20-25 minutes. Topping: Mix 0.75 cup sugar and the cinnamon. Immediately after baking, roll puffs in melted butter, then in cinnamon-sugar mix. Serve hot. These are very light in texture. Great taste!
