Fresh Tomato Cake

Ingredients

220 gr dark brown sugar
95 gr shortening
2 eggs
375 gr flour
9 gr baking powder
5 gr baking soda
2 gr nutmeg
3 gr salt
300 gr ripe tomatoes
65 gr nuts
75 gr dates
85 gr raisins

Instructions

Recipe by: Old Farmer's Almanac Hearth & Home 1993 Companion Cream sugar and shortening.Add eggs. Add sifted dry ingredients, mixing wel Stir in tomatoes, nuts, dates, and raisins. Put into greased and floured 9x inch baking pan. Bake in preheated 350'F oven for 35 minutes or until cake tests done. Frost with cream cheese frosting. ----
