Front Porch Fried Catfish
Ingredients
1,600 gr cornbread mix
10 gr garlic powder
12 gr thyme
6 catfish fillets
240 ml buttermilk
8 gr salt
6 gr black pepper
6 gr pepper
1 peanut oil
3 ingredients in a shallow dish
Instructions
Pour oil to depth of 10 cm into an electric fryer or Dutch oven; heat to 200ÂșC . Fry fillets, two at a time, 2 to 3 minutes or until they float; drain on paper towels. Serve immediately.
