Glazed Coconut Cake

Ingredients

4 eggs
600 gr sugar
240 ml salad oil
9 gr coconut flavoring
375 gr flour
2 ml soda
2 gr baking powder
1 gr salt
240 ml buttermilk
80 gr flaked coconut
325 gr nuts
120 ml water
28 gr butter

Instructions

Beat eggs in large bowl. Add and blend in the sugar, salad oil, and coconut flavoring. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with the buttermilk. Add the coconut and the nuts. Pour into a greased and floured tube pan. Bake 1- quarter hrs. Meanwhile make syrup: Bring sugar, butter and water to a boil. Boil 1 min. Add coconut flavoring. Pour hot syrup over the top of warm cake and allow to stand for 4 hrs. before removing from pan. Bette Leland ----
