Grandma Burdick's Sour Cream Cookies

Ingredients

300 gr sugar
2 eggs
95 gr shortening
240 ml sour cream
5 gr baking soda
14 gr vanilla extract
375 gr all purpose flour
14 gr baking powder
1 gr salt

Instructions

Cream sugar, eggs and shortening. Combine sour cream, baking soda and vanilla; add to creamed mixture. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Drop by heaping tablespoonful onto a greased baking sheet. Bake at 350�F for 8 to dozen minutes. For variety, add chocolate chips, raisins or nuts to the dough before baking. To make rolled cookies, add 1 cup of flour to the dough, chill, then roll out and cut into shapes.
