Hot And Spicy Spareribs

Ingredients

1 rack pork spareribs
28 gr butter
1 onion
2 garlic
425 ml tomato sauce
160 ml cider vinegar
150 gr firmly packed brown sugar
18 gr chili powder
16 ml prepared mustard
1 gr pepper

Instructions

Melt butter in a large skillet over low heat; add onion and garlic, and saute until tender. Add remaining ingredients, except ribs, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Place ribs on grill, meatiest side down, about 15 cm above low coals, or over indirect heat (banked coals). Close grill hood. Cook for 20 minutes; turn. Cook for 45 minutes. Baste with sauce, close grill and cook 10 minutes. Turn ribs, baste and cook 10 minutes more. Serves 3.
