Make-Ahead French Toast

Ingredients

12 eggs
475 ml milk
2 gr lemon rind
4 gr sugar
4 gr vanilla
1 gr salt
1 gr cinnamon
8 slices bread
1 diagonal

Instructions

Grease 9 x 33 cm shallow baking dish;set aside.In large bowl,beat together all ingredients except bread.Arrange bread slices so they overlap.Pour egg mixture over bread.Cover;refrigerate overnight. When ready to serve,preheat oven to 350 degrees.Bake for 30 to 35 minutes,until golden and fluffy.Serve with hot syrup or jam.Makes 8 servings.
