Mock Champagne

Ingredients

130 gr sugar
160 ml water
240 ml grapefruit juice
120 ml orange juice
65 gr grenadine syrup
800 gr ginger ale

Instructions

Combine sugar and water in saucepan over low heat. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Bring to boil and boil 10 minutes. Cool. Add sugar syrup to grapefruit and orange juices. Chill thoroughly. Add grenadine and ginger ale just before serving. Makes about 1.5 quarts (C) 1992 The Los Angeles Times
