Nutty Chocolate Stars

Ingredients

170 gr margarine
170 gr firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg
4 gr vanilla
475 gr quaker oats
130 gr all purpose flour
2 gr baking soda
90 gr nuts
1 package milk chocolate candy stars

Instructions

-or kisses (6-7 oz) Heat oven to 350'F. Lightly grease cookie sheet. Beat margarine and sugar until fluffy. Blend in egg and vanilla. Add combined oats, flour and baking soda; mix well. Share into 3 cm balls; roll in nuts. Place on prepared cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes or until light golden brown. Remove from oven; gently press chocolate candy into center of each cookie. Cool 2 minutes on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack. Cool completely. Store tightly covered. Makes 3.5 dozen cookies. NOTES: Dough may be covered and stored in the refrigerator for up to two days. Candied cherries may be substituted for chocolate candy, if desired.
