Old-fashioned Pole Beans

Ingredients

1,500 gr pole beans
1,200 ml water
1 ham hock
6 gr salt
1 gr pepper

Instructions

Remove strings from beans, cutting beans into 5 cm pieces. Wash beans. Place water and ham hock in a Dutch oven; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 1 hour.
