Orange And Date Bread

Ingredients

230 gr butter
400 gr sugar
3 eggs
500 gr flour
5 gr baking soda
3 gr salt
325 ml buttermilk
150 gr dates
120 gr pecans
6 gr orange rind
60 ml orange juice
100 gr sugar

Instructions

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, beat well. Combine dry ingredients and add alternately with the buttermilk. Fold in walnuts, dates and orange rind. Pour into two 22 cm greased and floured pans and bake at 180ÂșC . degrees for about an hour. Combine the glaze ingredients and pour half over the hot loaves. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from the pans.Spoon remaining glaze over loaves.
