Orange & Date Bread

Ingredients

230 gr butter
400 gr sugar
3 eggs
500 gr flour
5 gr baking soda
3 gr salt
325 ml buttermilk
150 gr dates
120 gr pecans
6 gr orange rind

Instructions

-----------------------------------GLAZE---------------------------------- quarter c Orange juice half c Sugar 2 tb Grated orange rind Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, beat well. Combine dry ingredients and add alternately with the buttermilk. Fold in walnuts, dates and orange rind. Pour into two 22 cm greased and floured pans and bake at 180ÂșC . degrees for about an hour. Comb NOTES: Can be made ahead and frozen.
