Orange Layer Cake

Ingredients

300 gr sugar
110 gr butter
6 gr orange peel
280 gr all purpose flour
9 gr baking powder
1 gr baking soda
180 ml water
60 ml orange juice
4 stiffly egg whites
2 ml sal combine water
2 greased
1 1/2 round baking pans
375 till done

Instructions

cool, spread Orange Filling on one layer; top with remaining layer. Frost with Orange Buttercream Frosting. ORANGE FILLING: In saucepan combine half cup sugar, 2 tablespoons cornstarch, 1.5 teaspoon grated orange peel, and quarter teaspoon salt. Gradually blend in 0.75 cup orange juice, quarter cup water, and 2 slightly beaten egg yolks. Cook and stir over medium heat till thickened and bubbly. Remove from heat; stir in 2 tablespoons butter till melted. Cool. ----
