Pear Cake

Ingredients

350 ml boiling water
160 gr rolled oats
110 gr margarine
200 gr sugar
220 gr brown sugar
3 eggs
4 gr vanilla
190 gr flour
1 gr nutmeg
2 gr ginger
65 gr nuts
400 gr pears cored
3 gr cinnamon
5 gr baking soda
1 gr salt

Instructions

Pour water over oats and allow to sit for half hour. Cream butter and sugar; beat in eggs and vanilla. In a large bowl, toss pears with flour, mix in soda, salt, spices and nuts. Fold in oatmeal and egg mixture until thoroughly blended. Pour into greased and floured baking pan. Bake at 180ÂșC or 35 to 45 minutes or until wooden pick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool.
