Sloppy Joes For 100

Ingredients

9,100 gr beef
4 onions
4 green bell peppers
400 gr celery
220 gr brown sugar packed
240 ml spicy brown mustard
950 ml ketchup
375 gr tomato paste
425 ml tomato sauce
240 ml vinegar
160 ml worcestershire sauce
100 hamburger buns

Recipe by: St. Louis Post-Dispatch 1. 15037593984.958 In a large Dutch oven or pan, brown the beef, onions, peppers and celery in batches until meat is browned. Remove mixture with a slotted spoon to a large roasting pan. Discard fat. Stir together the sugar, mustard, ketchup, tomato paste, tomato sauce, 6 cups water, vinegar and Worcestershire sauce. Stir into meat mixture. If too thick, add up to 2 cups more water. Cover and simmer for 3 to 4 hours, stirring occasionally. Serve on the buns.
