Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla and sour cream; mix well. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and soda; add to creamed mixture. Add nuts, if desired. Drop from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Grease bottom of small glass; dip into sugar-cinnamon mixture, and press cookie flat. Bake at 180ºC or 15 minutes. Makes 6 dozen. ----
