Spicy Western Beans

Ingredients

3/8 lentils
325 ml water
4 slices bacon
1 onion
30 ml ketchup
3 gr garlic powder
2 gr chili powder
1 gr cumin
1 gr pepper flakes
1 bay leaf
260 gr tomatoes with liquid
450 gr pinto beans undrained
500 gr kidney beans undrained

Instructions

Boil one third cup lentils in 1.3333333333333 cup water for 20 to 30 minutes. Drain. Fry baco n strips. In bacon grease, cook onions until transparent. Combine lentils, ba con, onion, ketchup, garlic powder, chili powder, cumin, pepper flakes, bay lea f, tomatoes, and beans in Crock-Pot. Cook on High 3 to 4 hours. Remove bay le af. Serve Serves 8 to 10
