State Fair Holiday Cookies

Ingredients

65 gr shortening
65 gr sugar
160 ml honey
1 egg
1 lemon extract
450 gr flour
5 gr baking soda
3 gr salt

Instructions

Combine honey, shortening, sugar, egg and flavoring. Blend well. sift together flour, soda and salt. Add dry mixture to first mixture and stir until stiff dough is formed. Roll dough about 1 cm thick. Cut into desired shapes to create festive cookies. Place on greased baking sheet and bake at 180ÂșC F for 6 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove and cool on racks.
