Sugar Crisps

Ingredients

95 gr shortening
100 gr granulated sugar
110 gr brown sugar
1 egg
2 gr vanilla
1 gr almond extract
2 ml soda
10 ml vinegar
160 gr sifted all-purpose flour
1 gr salt
120 gr quaker oats

Instructions

-(quick or old-fashioned) Beat shortening and sugars together until creamy. Blend in egg and flavorings. Dissolve soda in vinegar. Add to creamed mixture. Sift together flour and salt. Stir in oats. For ease in handling, chill dough about 1 hour. Shape to form 3 cm balls. Place on ungreased cooky sheets. Flatten with bottom of glass dipped in sugar. Bake in preheated moderate oven (350 F.) about dozen minutes.
