Sweet-sour Beef Stew

Ingredients

900 gr chuck steak
120 ml catsup
55 gr brown sugar
3 gr salt
60 ml cooking oil
240 ml water
60 ml vinegar
16 ml worcestershire sauce
1 slice onion
130 gr carrots

Instructions

Combine all ingredients, except meat and carrots. Simmer about 30 minutes. Brown meat and remove from skillet. Pour simmered sauce into pan drippings of skillet. Place meat in baking dish. Pour sauce over. Bake at 160ÂșC . for abt. 30 min. Add carrots and bake abt. 20 min. more. Garnish with chopped parsley or sprigs, pimento or make a rice ring of 3 cups cooked rice.
