Texas Chili

Ingredients

1,100 gr cubed beef stew meat
120 ml cooking oil
140 gr green pepper
120 gr onion
650 gr tomatoes
425 ml tomato sauce
1,300 gr pinto beans
18 gr chili powder
8 gr cumin
12 gr salt
4 gr garlic salt
2 gr oregano
34 gr jalapeno peppers
26 ml pepper sauce

Instructions

Reduce jalapeno peppers and hot pepper sauce for a milder chili. Marinate the beef in beer for at least 8 hours. Drain beef; pat dry on paper towels. Brown in hot oil in a large kettle. Add green pepper, onion, tomatoes, tomato sauce, and beans; cook on medium heat for 1 hour; add spices, jalapeno peppers and hot pepper sauce; cook 2 hours longer. Yields: 4 litre
