4 slices bacon 1 onion 3/8 lentils 325 ml water 30 ml ketchup 3 gr garlic powder 2 gr chili powder 2 gr cumin 1 gr pepper flakes 1 bay leaf 1 package kidney beans
Instructions
Lightly fry bacon in a heavy 3 litre saucepan. Add onion; cook until transparent. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cook over medium heat for 45 minutes or until lentils are tender, stirring once or twice. Remove bay leaf before serving.
