White Chili Ii

Ingredients

500 gr great northern beans
1,400 ml water
1,400 ml chicken broth
1 onion
2 garlic
70 gr cans green chilies
5 gr oregano
6 gr cumin
1 gr cayenne pepper
1 gr salt
1 gr pepper
550 gr chicken
60 gr monterey jack cheese

Instructions

Rinse beans. Place in Dutch oven and add water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Cover and let beans soak for one hour. Drain. Add chicken broth, onion, garlic, chilies, oregano, cumin, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Cover and simmer one hour. Stir in chicken and simmer, covered, for half to 1 hour more. Stir in cheese until melted and serve.
