Annie Mae Jones' Cornmeal Muffins
Ingredients
2 c cornmeal
3/4 ts baking soda
1/2 ts salt
1 egg
1 1/2 c buttermilk
1 1/2 tb lard
1 1/2 tb butter
6 cup muffin tins with vegetable shortening
Instructions
browned. Serve hot with plentyof soft butter and any homemade jelly or jam.
