Apple Danish Pastries
Ingredients
2 packages dry yeast
2 cakes compressed yeast
1/4 c water
3/4 c milk
2 ts salt
1 3/8 c butter
1/2 lemon extract
3 eggs
4 1/2 c all purpose flour
20 slices ozs
3 ts cinnamon
3/8 cup sugar
5/8 cup butter
5/8 dough
1/2 covered portion
3 rd section over the first
1/2 a rectangle
Instructions
a spiral roll. Put a few drained apple slices in center of each. Sprinkle with the cinnamon mixed with 1/2 cup sugar. Cover. Let rise in a warm place, free from draft, until doubled in bulk. Bake in preheated 375` oven for about 12 minutes. Makes about 2 dozen Wis/Gramma ----
