Aunt Lucille Wanderer's Tamale Pie

Ingredients

1 c cornmeal
1 c milk
16 oz kernal corn
1 lb beef
16 oz tomatoes
2 tb chili powder
1 ts salt
1/2 c melted butter
2 eggs

Instructions

-----------------------------------SAUCE----------------------------------1 cn Tomato soup 1/4 c Butter or margarine--melted 1 tb Chili powder Tamale Pie Stir ingredients together in the order given above. Pour into large casserole dish or 9" x 13" pan. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for approximately 1 hour or until solid, dry and golden brown. Sauce Blend ingredients together with a wire wisk. Serve with sauce over top of individual servings. OPTIONS Can be cooked in a microwave on high for approximately 20 minutes. One half of mixed Tamale Pie ingredients may be frozen for baking at a later date.
