1 c molasses 1 c brown sugar 3/4 c shortening 1 egg 1 ts ginger 1 ts cinnamon 2 ts baking soda 1 c buttermilk 4 1/4 c flour
Instructions
MIx all ingredients together, adding just enough flour to make a stiff dough. Let stand all night. Bake @375 about 15 minutes. From Chappells' "The Happy Cooker" ----
