Ginger-molasses Skillet Cake

Ingredients

1 3/8 c all purpose flour
1 ts baking powder
1/4 ts baking soda
2 ts ginger
1/2 ts salt
1/2 ts coarsely pepper
1/4 ts cinnamon
1/4 ts allspice
1 c dark brown sugar
8 tb butter
2 t unsulphered molasses
5/8 c milk
1/2 ts vanilla extract
1/4 c pine nuts
1 c cream
1/2 c sour cream
1 cup brown sugar
5/8 cup molasses
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons molasses in
12 cast iron skille place the skillet in the oven to melt the butter

Instructions

continue beating until stiff. Serve the cake warm from the skillet. Pass the whipped cream separately.
