Gratin Of Potatoes And Porcini Mushrooms In Cream

Ingredients

1/2 oz porcini mushrooms
1/2 c water
2 shallots
2 lb baking potatoes
1 1/2 tb olive oil
5/8 c whipping cream
5/8 c milk
1/2 ts salt
1 pepper
3 tb whipping cream
2 quart gratin dish
5/8 cup salt and pepper
3 tablespoons cream over top of potatoes
1 day

Instructions

Bake until potatoes are tender, about 1 hour. Preheat broiler. Broil until top is browned, about 3 minutes. *
