Hickory Nut Cake

Ingredients

1 1/4 c shortening
1 1/2 c sugar
2 1/2 c cake flour
2 ts baking powder
3/8 ts salt
1 c water
1/2 ts almond
1 oz unsweetened chocolate
1/2 c hickory nuts
1/4 c maraschino cherries
4 egg
1 frosting
1/2 c butter
1/2 ts vanilla
3 c confectioners sugar
1 tb milk
10 hickory nut
