Mattie's Jam Cake

Ingredients

2 1/2 c brown sugar
2 c sour milk
4 c flour
3/4 c butter
4 c jam
2 ts baking soda
3 ts cinnamon
2 ts nutmeg
3 eggs
15 oz raisins
1 c nutmeats
9 round cake pans

Instructions

degree oven for 35-40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. If desired, serve caramel icing. Mrs. Charles E. Phillips
