Nut Gingerbread

Ingredients

1 1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 tb brown sugar
1/2 c molasses
1 c sweet milk
1/4 c melted butter
2 c flour
1 ts ginger
1 egg
1 ts baking soda
1/2 ts salt
3 tb nuts
1 1/2 cups brown sugar

Instructions

alternately with milk to sugar and molasses mixture. Beat until well blended. Pour into well-oiled baking pan. Sprinkle with nuts and 1 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar. Bake in moderate oven (375� F) about 30 minutes. Bertha V. Hull, Alton, OH. ----
