River Style Chili
Ingredients
1 bacon
4 pounds chili beef
2 cups onion
2 tablespoons garlic
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon cumin
2 tablespoons chile powder
1 cup mushrooms
16 ounces tomatoes
48 ounces kidney beans undrained
2 tablespoons liquid pepper sauce
2 cups water boiling
1 tablespoon kosher salt
2 tablespoons black pepper
Instructions
SAUTE BACON IN A SKILLET, OVER A HIGH FLAME, FOR 10 MINUTES ADD BEEF, ONIONS, A ND GARLIC HEAT AND STIR FOR 10-15 MINUTES, UNTIL BROWNED STIR IN REMAINING INGREDIENTS SIMMER FOR 1-1/2 TO 2-1/2 HOURS, UNTIL THICKENED SERVE HOT
