Snickerdoodles/heritage

Ingredients

2 c sugar
1 c butter
2 eggs
1/4 c milk
1 ts vanilla
3 3/4 c all purpose flour
1/2 ts baking soda
1/2 ts cream of tartar
1 c nuts

Instructions

In mixing bowl cream sugar and butter till light. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Blend in milk and vanilla. Stir together flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and 1/2 teaspoon salt; stir into creamed mixture. Blend in chopped nuts. Form dough into 1-inch balls. Place balls 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Lightly flatten balls with sugared bottom of tumbler. Bake at 375 till done, 10 to 12 minutes. ----
