1 Cup brown sugar half Cup butter 3 egg yolks half Cup milk 2 Cups flour 1 Teaspoon vanilla 2 Teaspoons baking powder

3 egg whites -whipped with salt salt FILLING 2 Cups brown sugar half Cup butter half Cup milk 1 Teaspoon vanilla

Part 1mix together the brown sugar, chocolate and 1 cup milk in pan. Let com e to boil, stirring until thick. Remove from heat and cool. Part II Cream brown sugar, butter, egg yolks until very light. Add milk, fl our, vanilla, baking powder and mix. Mix this with Part 1 and then with egg whites which have been whipped with a pi nch of salt. Bake at 350 degrees .

Fillingplace all filling ingredients except vanilla in pan and cook to soft ball stage. Add vanilla. Beat until cool.
