Ingredients
- 4 apples (sliced thin)
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 cup black walnuts (chopped)
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (ground)
1. Cream margarine and sugar in mixing bowl. Add beaten eggs and vanilla e xtract and whisk to blend well.
2. Combine baking soda, salt, flour and cinnamon; add to egg mixture and b eat until thoroughly mixed.
3. Add peeled and thinly sliced apples along with the chopped walnuts to b atter. Blend ONLY enough to spread apples and nuts throughout batter.
4. Grease and flour a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Pour in the batter and bake in a preheated 325-degree oven for 1 hour.
