Ingredients
- 4 delicious apples (red)
- 1 egg
- 3/4 c cream (light)
- 3/4 c sugar
- 3 tb water
- 2 tb butter
- 1 tb milk
- 1 tb cinnamon sugar
- 4 ts cornstarch
- 1 ts cinnamon (ground)
- 1/4 ts nutmeg (ground)
Recipe by: Taste of Home Dec/Jan 94 In a small bowl, mix water and cornstarch until dissolved; add egg, cream, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg; place apples in a large bowl; pour cream mixture over and stir to coat; line a 9-inch pie pan with the bottom pastry; pour apple mixture into crust; dot with butter; top with remaining pastry; flute edges and cut slits in top; brush with milk and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar; bake at 350~F for 55 minutes or until golden brown. ----
