Ingredients
- 1,900 ml scalded milk
- 1,500 gr wheat flour (whole)
- 200 gr sugar
- 240 ml sugar in the milk (hot)
- 120 ml molasses
- 160 ml water
- 160 ml water while your milk is coolin dissolve
- 130 gr shortening
- 18 gr salt
- 14 gr sugar
- 3 packages yeast
to 2 hours. Knead down and shape into 6 loaves, let rise until doubled in pans. Bake at 190ºC . for 40 minutes. Turn out on wire rack and let cool to cold before slicing, if you can. NOTE: Raisins and/or walnuts can be added for a change. Also this bread freezes well. ----
