Ingredients
- 3 onions (chopped)
- 650 gr dry great northern beans
- 450 gr bacon (sliced cooked)
- 220 gr packed brown sugar
- 45 ml molasses
- 3 gr salt
Place beans and salt in a saucepan; cover with water. Bring to a boil; boil for 2 min. Remove from the heat; cover and let stand for 1 hour. drain, reserving liquid. combine beans, 1 cup liquid and the remaining ingredients in a greased 2- half qt baking dish. Cover and bake at 180ÂșC or 1- quarter hours or until beans are tender, stirring occasionally (add additional reserved liquid if needed).
