Ingredients
- 30 secon beat on speed
- 3 deep
- 2 eggs
- 4 7/8 c flour
- 1 c sugar
- 3/4 c milk
- 2 tb shortening
- 3 ts baking powder
- 1/2 ts salt
- 1/2 ts cinnamon
- 1/4 ts nutmeg
with wide spatula. Turn doughnuts as they rise to surface. Fry until golden brown, 1-1 1/2 min. on each side. Remove from oil; do not prick doughnuts. Drain on paper towels. Serve plain, sugared, or frosted. 2 Dozen Doughnuts. I shake them in a bag of powdered sugar. MMMmmmmmmmmmm Good!!!! Only one problem with this recipe......it doesn't make enough!! These doughnuts are so good that once you start eating them, you can't stop!
